About the Author
Kim Elliott lives in British Columbia, Canada with her husband, two busy kids, and a sleepy dog named Marley. When she isn't writing, she enjoys looking at memes, eating donuts, and shopping for jeans. (That last one was a blatant lie.)
Kim grew up reading science fiction and fantasy, but these days she prefers worlds similar to our own...with a few minor improvements. She firmly believes that every story needs romance. There's nothing like that butterflies-in-the-tummy feeling when two characters who are perfect for each other finally realize it. She has a particular soft spot for tough guys who are secretly cinnamon rolls on the inside. If you crave that tingle of excitement you get when reading about two people on the verge of falling in love, her books might be for you!

How Falling for the Villain Came to Be
The idea for Falling for the Villain came to me while I was watching superhero cartoons with my four-year-old daughter. I found myself wishing the plot would go a different direction. As I often do, I began daydreaming about what I would have improved in the story. I've always wanted better romance from the superhero genre, so I included lots of love in my imaginary tale. Eventually, the story got too big for my brain to contain it. I had to write it down.
While I was finishing my book, I wrote a 500-word flash fiction about how the idea came about. I submitted the flash fiction to the Hilroy #startwriting contest on Wattpad.com, but I never expected anything to come of it. In fact, I forgot all about entering. I was shocked and ecstatic when my entry was selected as the grand prize winner! Winning that contest gave me the final boost of confidence I needed to finish editing the book and publish.
